Illies Golden Gloves’ Darryl Moran has been named in an Irish squad for a forthcoming international with Poland.
The Irish squad, including the Illies man, will train in Dublin this weekend ahead of the September 22nd tournament in Poiand.
Elite champions Martin Keenan and Dean Walsh, a European Elite bronze medallist, and underage European underage medallist John Joyce and Michael Nevin have been named on the 11-strong Irish team.
Illies ABC’s Eamonn Duffy has been named as one of the coaches for the trip.
Light-flyweight Moran had to withdraw from the European Under-22s in March due to a hand injury.
Moran won his ninth Irish title in January as he claimed the Irish U22 crown with a win over Jordan Leahy, but then lost out to Blaine Dobbins from Derry in the Irish Elite final in February.
