Could Rory Gallagher be set to make return to Fermanagh?

A month after he stepped down as Donegal manager, Rory Gallagher is being strongly touted as the next boss of his native Fermanagh.

Gallagher was last week linked with a role on the Down management with reports that the Mournes sought Gallagher to join Eamonn Burns’ backroom team.

However, this morning’s Irish Independent reports that Beleek native Gallagher, who played for Fermanagh, has already held meetings with Erne County Board chiefs. 

Pete McGrath recently departed Fermanagh after senior players indicated an unwillingness to play under the former Down supremo.

Now, Gallagher could be set to make what would have seemed an unlikely return to Fermanagh.
