Paddy Flood described Friday evening’s Donegal SHC semi-final win as ‘huge’ for his St Eunan’s team.
Eunan’s are back in the Donegal SHC final after a 15-year absence after they defeated defending champions Sean MacCumhaills 3-18 to 2-11.
“It was an important win because we’ve been knocking on the door,” Eunan’s boss Flood said.
“They needed that boost. We knew MacCumhaills wouldn’t give up without a fight. We had great heart.”
There could be no denying the black and amber as Eugene Organ, Colm Flood and Cian Durack netted.
Flood said: “It was a huge win for us, there is no other way of saying it. We were prepared for a tight game and we got ready for any set-backs.
“We had to learn the hard way. It has been a learning process.”
