Two Donegal men, five peaks, one challenge – all in the name of charity

Two Donegal men scaled five peaks within 24 hours yesterday, all in the name of charity.

Dungloe man Danny Boyle was joined by Brendan Brennan from Lettermacaward for the tough task.

But after scaling four peaks of the Mourne Mountains in County Down, Danny and Brendan completed their task by reaching the summit of Errigal.

Their challenge was in aid of SNAP and for Danny’s niece Ellen, who has Angelman syndrome – a neuro-genetic disorder with symptoms including intellectual and developmental disability, seizures, jerky movements and sleep disturbances.

SNAP are based in Leeds and work closely with Ellen.

Danny and Brendan also ran a shave or dye night last weekend, raising €3,000.
