All Sports have created a tribute video to Karl Lacey following his announcement that he will retire from inter-county football on Thursday.
The video shows highlights from Lacey’s career with the music “Remember the Name” by Fort Minor.
All Sports uploaded the video after the news broke of his retirement, saying it’s a “tribute to Donegal GAA’s most decorated player”. Since its publication, it has been viewed over 1,500 times.
The four-time All-Star and former GAA Player of the Year stepped down from inter-county football after 14 seasons, playing a record-equalling 65 championship matches with Donegal (a record he shares with Christy Toye).
Making his championship debut in 2004 as a sub in a clash against Antrim, he has since played 148 times for the Donegal senior football team.
Dozens of former teammates, opponents, and supporters paid tribute to Karl on Twitter, with Rory Kavanagh saying it was a “pleasure to share the field with you!”
