Gardai in Donegal have seized a highly defective car which was being held together with seat belts.
The car was stopped on the road by the Letterkenny Traffic Corp and seized on the spot.

The driver had fastened their seat belts in a most unusual way – wrapping the belt between window panels to keep the front doors closed!
Gardai have issued a clear warning: “When we said wear your seat belt…..we meant you, not your car!”

The car was found to have no windows and both doors were held shut with the seat belts. Plus, the car’s L plate was half covered with tape.
The driver will now face a fine and a court summons has been issued by the Traffic Corps.
