More of Ireland’s most popular country and western stars are teaming up for a second music and dancing event in aid of the Inishowen Flood victims.
Robert Mizzell and the Country Kings, Jimmy Buckley and friends are putting on a lively benefit show in the Buncrana Plaza next Thursday, September 7th.
Mizzell told fans yesterday how he has seen the destruction that floods have caused in Donegal and near his birthplace in southern USA. He pledged that he and his band would do anything they could to help the people of Inishowen after the floods of Tuesday 22nd August, and so, Robert and his fellow amigo Jimmy Buckley joined forces to put on a dance.
“We want to do what we can to help, because Donegal and all that part of the world has been so good to us down through the years supporting all the country bands. We’re so glad to be able to do something for you,” Robert told his Facebook fans.
Every cent from this event, Robert stressed, will be given to the Red Cross fund in aid of the people of Inishowen. Admission will be €15 on the door and it will be 3 three hours of dancing with headliners Robert & Jimmy.
They will be joined on the night by Gary Gamble, Paul McCahill, Kieran McAree, Grainne Gavigan and Keelan, all of which are Donegal artists.
They will be backed by Robert Mizzell’s band ‘The Country Kings’ and all artists and band members are giving their time and services free of charge to make as much as possible for the Irish Red Cross branch in Inishowen.
