Ollie Horgan, the Finn Harps manager, had few complaints last night as his side went down narrowly to Cork City.
Garry Buckley netted the only goal of the game 20 minutes from time to give City a win that brings to within five points of being crowned champions.
“The better side, we have no complaints about that,” Horgan said.
“The only negative is that the time when they scored was the only time when we were on top. That was a little bit annoying. We created very few chances. I don’t think Mark McNulty had to make a save from start to finish.
“Cork are a mighty side. You can see the leaders out there. They are men. They didn’t win the League tonight. They won it in the games up to now.”
Harps now face back-to-back away games against Limerick FC, first up this Saturday in the FAI Cup.
Horgan said: “We have a hell of a battle ahead of us. I can’t complain. We take our oil and we move on.”
