Join Donegal Daily’s resident gardening expert Gareth Austin for a tour of the amazing gardens of Oakfield Park in Raphoe.
Gareth will be leading tours at 1pm and 3pm this Sunday as part of a week long series of events being held in Sir Gerry Robinsons estate for National Heritage Week.
“The gardens around Oakfield celebrate the heritage of great Irish landscape design, Including Conifer lined avenues, Robinsonian planting schemes and Stolen landscape features made famous by Le Notre and Capability Brown. All these can be appreciated with vantage points from the big house” adds Gareth.
Gardening enthusiasts amongst you will be delighted to hear that there is no fee for these tours by Gareth, just the normal entrance fee to Oakfield applies.
