Letterkenny woman and Donegal representative Amy Callaghan will be facing her all-important interview tonight in the famous dome at the 2017 Rose of Tralee Festival.
The first part of the 58th Rose of Tralee selection event will be broadcast today (Monday) from Co. Kerry and Amy, along with 17 other roses, will be taking to the stage and talking to host Dáithí O Sé.
Friends, family and supporters of Amy’s will be able to see her representing the county and sharing her story and talents with the audience. The show begins on RTE One from 8pm.
Talented dancer Amy, aged 22, is a graduate of Ulster University and dreams of travelling the world with the world-renowned Cirque du Soleil.
She has been a strong advocate for local mental health charities Jigsaw and Pieta House during her campaign before the festival and has been using her profile to fundraise and promote the charities.

In no particular order, the Roses who will appear on Monday night are Donegal, Yorkshire, Armagh, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Offaly, Cork, San Francisco, South Carolina, London, Fermanagh, Kentucky, Chicago, Limerick, Toronto, Louth, Darwin and Westmeath.
The 2017 Rose Escort of the Year will be announced tonight.
Dáithí Ó Sé will interview a further 14 Roses on Tuesday 22nd August before announcing who has been chosen as the 2017 Rose of Tralee later that night.
Tuesday night’s show will feature Roses representing New Zealand, Florida, Kerry, Dublin, Southern California, Texas, Waterford, Galway, Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Kildare, Down, Western Canada and Germany.
Chicago Rose, Maggie McEldowney, will be passing on the crown in the live finale tomorrow.
