Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan saw his side capitulate against St Patrick’s Athletic, but insisted they won’t be ‘feeling sorry for themselves’.
Harps have less than 72 hours before they go again on Monday against runaway leaders and champion elect Cork City at Finn Park.
A delicately poised game, with just Graham Kelly’s first-half goal in it, ran away from Harps as they fell to smithereens in the closing stages to lose 4-0 and fall into the relegation zone again.
“We didn’t play that well but, at the same time, we were still in the game at one-nil down and we created two very good chances to equalise,” Horgan said.
“From there to the end was the most disappointing part of it. When they scored the second, we threw our hat at it. It is a long while since that has happened.
“It was the way the heads went down that was most disappointing.”
