Just what the ‘Doctor’ ordered as Harley returns to winning ways on 12/1 shot

Trentagh jockey Martin Harley was back in the winners’ enclosure yesterday, with a 12/1 winner.

Harley won the Essex Sprint Handicap at Chelmsford yesterday evening aboard Doctor Sardonicus.

The David Simcock-trained Doctor Sardonicus won by almost two lengths from El Astonaute (8/1), with 5/2 favourite Mazzini in third.

Doctor Sardonicous, under Harley’s direction, led inside the final furlong and ended up with a comfortable winning margin.

Harley has two mounts this evening at Kempton and has a busy evening at Yarmouth tomorrow.
