Gortahork woman Bridget Green today celebrates her 106th birthday!
President Michael D. Higgins’ Office has confirmed that Bridget is the oldest person in Donegal!
Born on the 16th of August, 1911, the Ardsbeg native is celebrating the day by having a family mass and a quiet get-together.
Bridget and her husband Barney have seven children; Charlie, James, Patrick, Bernard, Danny, Mary, and Catherine.
Kept on her toes – she has 29 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild!

Last year during the Centenary celebrations, Bridget raised the tricolour in Gortahork with her grandson Liam Ferry who is in the Irish Army.
