Convoy photographer Heston Kelly captured incredible photos of the Perseid meteor shower as it illuminated the skies above Donegal last night.
Heston’s ‘out of this world’ pictures were taken at Beltany Stone Circle and near Ballymacool House in Letterkenny.
The pictures were snapped between 12 and 3 this morning when the spectacle was at its peak.
According to Astronomy Ireland, there were up to twenty times more shooting stars shooting overhead in Donegal, with 1 to 2 shooting stars darting across the sky every minute.
