Noah Clinton, aged 9, has published his first vlog to show how ‘awesome’ surfing is with the Liquid Therapy school.
The Manorcunningham boy is a talented filmmaker and avid surfer who has autism. He has been surfing with Liquid Therapy for the past three years and this year he has created a vlog (video blog) of his adventures in the sea.
Noah captures all the excitement and fun of catching the waves at Tullan Strand Bundoran to encourage other children with autism to do the same.
Noah’s mother Clara tells Donegal Daily how Noah wanted to spread the word about the great work of Liquid Therapy.
Liquid Therapy is a not-for-profit foundation that provides young people with focused support in the ocean. The Bundoran-based team helps children with special needs surf, play and have fun in the water.
Noah documents his time on the beach with his personal trainer Shane and we also see Tom Losey on camera – the founder of Liquid Therapy. His younger sisters Amelia and Olivia are also featured having fun on the sands.
Clara says: “Noah is in his element in the water, ever since he was a baby. He realises he is lucky to do surfing with the school and made this video to show everyone else about it.
“It’s brilliant to see all the kids who take part. There are kids in wheelchairs who are just smiling the entire time,” she said.
Noah took part in the summer school this year and is now looking forward to the AS Open 2017 in September. This is a one day surf festival bringing together individuals, families and community groups from across the country to showcase their abilities.
Noah has his own Youtube Channel and branding under ‘Firetwomp 69’ and puts a lot of work into his videos. This first surfing vlog is ‘shore’ to be a big hit!
