Jason Quigley is back in training at The Rock Gym in Carson as the Ballybofey middleweight prepares to make his ring return.
Quigley has been out of action since defeating Glen Tapia to clinch the NABF middleweight title in March.
During the bout with the durable Tapia, Quigley damaged his right hand.
Quigley sustained what was described by medics in Los Angeles as ‘a one in ten million injury’.
Quigley broke his right hand and detached and shredded a major tendon in his wrist.
The former Finn Valley ABC amateur had corrective surgery in the Cedar Sinai Hospital in LA and now hopes to get a fight before the end of the year.
Quigley – now 13-0 as a pro – posted a video on his social media accounts showing him back working on the pads with one of his coaches, Edgar Jasso.
