A Donegal footballer has hit out at ‘keyboard warriors & people who think football was invented in 2011’ following the resignation of Rory Gallagher.
Yesterday evening, Gallagher confirmed that he was stepping down as Donegal senior team manager after three years in the role.
In a brief message to their WhatsApp group, Gallagher informed the Donegal players and backroom team that he was parting ways and wished them good luck as he bid farewell.
Donegal goalkeeper Mark Anthony McGinley certainly didn’t welcome the news.
The St Michael’s man took to Twitter following the news.
McGinley wrote: “Extremely disappointed to see Rory go! Sad day when keyboard warriors & people who think football was invented in 2011 get their way!!”
