Sean McGoldrick moved to 3-0 as a professional on Saturday night in England.
The Welshman, whose father Liam hails from Ballyshannon, defeated Gyula Dodu with a first round stoppage.
With two minutes and 26 seconds of the first round gone, the contest was stopped and McGoldrick’s hand was raised by referee Reece Carter at the Tudor Grange Leisure Centre in Birmingham.
McGoldrick defeated Brett Fidoe in March on his pro debut and the Newport bantamweight overcame Ricky Starkey in June at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast.
On Saturday night, McGoldrick had Hungarian Dodu on the canvas twice before the bout came to a halt.
