Letterkenny Gaels GAA held their annual Kellogg’s Cúl Camp at Páirc na nGael last week with record numbers of children participating.
While some of the children taking part are regulars at the Glebe many were enjoying their first experience of our national games which included football, camogie and hurling.
Both the children and coaches alike had an enjoyable week with only a few July showers interrupting the fun.
Camp coordinator Cormac Cannon and his team of club coaches guided nearly 150 children during the week and were full of praise for the young Gaels.
“It was a hectic week but one we thoroughly enjoyed” said Cormac.
“The emphasis on our Cúl Camp this year was fun and participation, and that’s exactly what we all got” continued Cormac.
On the Thursday of the Camp, Donegal Senior Ladies Football player and Ulster Champion, Geraldine Mc Laughlin joined the children and helped to put the children through their paces while on the Friday Donegal Senior Football Captain, Michael Murphy gave a few tips and participated in a number of drills.
Letterkenny Gaels GAA would like to thank Cormac Cannon and his team of coaches for their help during the week, Geraldine Mc Laughlin and Michael Murphy for giving their free time, Edel Margey & Oisin Cannon for the photography and drone pictures and last but by no means least to all the children and their parents for helping to make the 2017 Kellogg’s Cúl Camp at Páirc na nGael one to remember.
