Mark Timlin bagged a debut goal for Finn Harps last night and says he’s looking for regular football again.
The Buncrana man had a frustrating time at Derry City and secured a move to Harps on Wednesday.
Timlin went straight into the Harps XI last night and netted a free-kick in a 3-2 win over Bray Wanderers.
“I hadn’t played much this season so I’m delighted to get back playing,” Timlin said.
“It’s been a while since I played so it’s great the two boys trusted me to go straight in. I was in a frame of mind that I’d always be on the bench at Derry, so there were a few a few nerves.
“I had a bad time at Derry. I wasn’t happy with the time I was getting. I wanted to play every week and felt I needed to go and get that.”
Eddie Dsane and Ibrahim Keita were also on target as Harps got a win that puts them five points clear of the relegation zone.
Timlin said: “It’s a massive win, but we need to push on now. I think we have enough to stay up.”
