Ciaran Gallagher has seen both sides of the north west derby divide and the Finn Harps ‘keeper is hoping that his side will show their character tonight against Derry City at Finn Park.
Harps could go within a point of sixth-placed Limerick with a win over the Candystripes.
Ollie Horgan’s team go into it on the back of two big wins over Drogheda United and Bohs.
Gallagher said: “If we play our best, we can match them. We haven’t done that consistently, but it’s something we can improve on. There is a bit of character in the team. We’ve had bad results at times, but we’ve been able to bounce back.”
City defeated Bohs 1-0 at Dalymount Park on Friday night and are third ahead of tonight’s derby in Ballybofey.
Gallagher, who spent 2014 at Derry, said: “It’s going to be a difficult. The wins won’t stand for much if we can’t back them up. I’m looking forward to the game – these are the games you want to play in.”
