Donegal were on the wrong end of a 15-point pasting by Galway in Sligo, ending their 2017 Championship sojourn.
A big Donegal crowd flocked to Markievicz Park in the hope that Donegal could get over Galway and make it to an All-Ireland quarter-final in Croke Park next weekend.
A crowd of 10,564 turned up and the Donegal numbers vastly outweighed those who ventured from Galway.
