Ireland is famous all over the world for its one hundred thousand welcomes (céad míle fáilte) and now JCI Donegal is on the hunt for Donegal’s Friendliest Business.
Do you know a business that makes you smile every time you use their service?
If you do, don’t keep it a secret, nominate them for the JCI Ireland Friendly Business Awards Competition. We all need to support local businesses to ensure they have a future.
The JCI Donegal Friendly Business Awards seeks to recognise the important role played by small and medium businesses in the continuous development and improvement of our economy and local communities.
The competition aims to award businesses that go the extra mile and provide an outstanding service to their customers and their community at large. It is particularly important in this economic environment to highlight businesses that don’t allow their standards to slip and continue to provide quality services.
Ann Louise McClintock, President of JCI Donegal says; “The Friendly Business awards are very much focused around SMBs. In Donegal, small businesses are the economic mainstay of local economies and an important part of the culture and history of an area.
“We have had so many fantastic winners over the years, and the recognition they have received has been great.
Charlene Patton, JCI Donegal Business Officer says; “At JCI we feel the key to creating sustainable economic growth is by supporting our local businesses. Shopping local can help support homegrown business owners and entrepreneurs, and increase employment in the community. However, sometimes it’s hard for these local stores to gain recognition when up against the larger chain stores.
“This is one of the main reasons we like to run the Friendly Business Awards.
The Bank of Ireland are the national sponsor of the Friendly Business Awards. They have spoken about the importance of encouraging local businesses in the community along with their keen interest in providing the services and support that will enable the further success of those businesses.
The Friendliest Business in Donegal will be awarded under the following six categories: Community Impact, Customer Care, Disability Access, Digital Experience, Eco-Friendliness and Shop Layout and Design. These categories are the foundations of a business that has the customer at their core.
The closing date for nominations is 7th August 2017. More information about the project can be found at: www.jcidonegal.ie. Nominations are submitted via https://www.jciireland.ie/.
