A team who took part in the grueling 555km Donegal Atlantic Way Ultra Cycling Race have raised €650 each for both Dungloe Hospital and Aras Gweedore patient comfort funds.

Team Annagry Lassies finished the face in 23 hours and 10 minutes, and presented staff from each establishment with a cheque.

They have thanked everyone that sponsored them and helped in any way.

The enormous race took place last month with participants traveling from all over Ireland, the UK, and Europe to complete the 555km circuit around Donegal’s rugged coastline.

Competitors left Letterkenny on the morning of the 23rd of June and embarked on the route that takes them past Malin head, Mamore Gap, Knockalla, Atlantic Drive, Horn Head, Carrickfinn, Glengesh Pass, Sliabh League and Barnesmore Gap all within 60 hours.
