There have been further sightings of a potentially dangerous jellyfish off the coast of Donegal.
The jellyfish was spotted by fisherman Aodán Ó Cearbhaill as he was fishing in a small boat.
The jellyfish is only occasionally spotted off Irish waters but has a potentially lethal sting.
Cllr. John Seamus O’Fearraigh appealed to tourists and locals to be extra vigilant following the recent spell of good weather.
“I would appeal to people not to approach these creatures even out of curiosity.
“They have a potentially lethal sting and if anyone comes into contact with them they should seek immediate medical attention,” he said.
