Two arrested and property recovered after robbery at popular restaurant

Two men have been arrested following a smash and grab raid on a popular Letterkenny restaurant.

The thieves broke into The Counter deli and coffee shop at Canal Road on Sunday morning last.

The front door was smashed in and a cash register and cash was taken.

HOwever, two men have now been arrested in connection with the raid.

One has been charged and another is expected to appear before the court at a later date.

Both the cash register and the stolen cash were recovered by Gardai.

The popular restaurant, which is owned by local businessman Richard Finney, re-opened for business immediately after the raid.
