Two Donegal boxers will fight in preliminary round contests at the Senior Cadet Championships at the National Stadium in Dublin on Friday night.
Raphoe ABC’s Liam McMonagle and Convoy ABC’s Ryan Ward-Mulrine are the first of the Donegal punchers in action.
At 57kgs, McMonagle will meet Killian Geraghty from Crumlin.
Ward-Mulrine – pictured with Convoy ABC coach Dominic McCafferty – is competing at 63kgs and is up against Tiarnan Mayse from the Two Castles club in Tyrone.
On Friday-week, Raphoe duo Eoin McGarrell (50kgs) and Tom Doherty (81kgs) will be in semi-final action.
Two Donegal men are already into finals on July 28. Paddy McShane of Letterkenny will be in the 39kgs final while Joe Harkin, also of Letterkenny, will be in the 44kgs decider.
