Ballybofey/Stranorlar to set up text alert scheme

A public meeting has been arranged to set up a Community Text Alert in the Ballybofey & Stranorlar area.

The meeting will take place on Monday 17th, July at 8pm in Finn Valley Centre.

Senior representatives from An Garda including Inspector Harrison and Sgt McGrath, as well as the National text alert organisation, Muintir na Tíre.

Cllr Patrick McGowan, who has organised the meeting, will also be in attendance.

The meeting will explain how the community text alert scheme works and to take questions.

Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Text alert is already established in neighbouring areas of Convoy, Drumkeen Castlefin and Killygordon.
