The Donegal branch of the iCAN Irish Children’s Arthritis Network has scheduled its first event this month.
Parents of children with Juveline Arthritis have organised the meeting to bring children and families together and help them get support. This meeting will offer information and advocate for the best care of those affected by the disease.
The first Donegal iCAN event will take place in Arena7, Letterkenny on Thursday, July 20 from 4pm to 7pm. Anyone interested in attending can register at icanireland.events@gmail.com with names and ages of children and number of adults attending.
iCan Ireland is a parent-run support network for children who suffer from Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. There are 1,200 children living with juvenile arthritis in Ireland. iCan Ireland aims to pull together the wider community of affected children in Ireland as well as raise public awareness of childhood arthritis. It endeavours to ensure that all Irish children receive the minimum standard of medical care recommended for children with juvenile arthritis as set out by the World Health Organisation.
