The Inisbofin Island Festival will run this weekend for Saturday the 1st to Sunday the 2nd of July.
The festival is organised by a local committee who wish to promote their island to a wider audience. Among the planned festivities is a football tournament, music by Martin Cuffe & Half the Kuff, a RNLI Lifeboat demonstrations, curragh racing, prize giving, storytelling and plenty of activities for the kids!
On Sunday there will be a boat race and five kilometer run/walk organised by Ireland’s Fittest Family’s Marie and Danny Ryan. Danny’s mother is originally from the island!
Boat’s to Inisbofin will be running all day from Magheroarty pier and campers are more than welcome. So come on over to enjoy the festival and test your mettle against Ireland’s Fittest Family!
