The Killybegs Coast Guard attended to a broken down fishing boat yesterday evening after it broke down near Mountcharles pier.
A member of the public raised the alarm when a fisherman signalled to the shore for help.
The Malin Head Coast Guard tasked the Killybegs boat and shore team to assist the anchored vessel.
Killybegs Coast Guard rib took the vessel under tow and safely returned the fisherman to Mountcharles pier before nightfall.
