Donegal man John McFadden demonstrated how to pour the perfect pint of Guinness at his bar in Canada.
Celtic Canada were on a mission to find the perfect pour, and were positive that John could show them all how it is done.
John owns the Muckish Irish Pub in Toronto, named after the mountain in Donegal where his dad worked mining sand for optical lenses.
John, originally from Ards Creeslough, moved to Canada in 1974, and opened the Muckish Irish Pub in 2008 which will be celebrating their tenth anniversary next March.
“Every morning I would look out the window and see Muckish. It was the only place that had snow!”
John’s pub has hit headlines before for receiving excellent reviews, with the Toronto Star saying that John is one of the few publicans offering a real Irish pub to his customers in his bar.
John’s friend Rita says that John and his wife Debby are fantastic for their support of the Irish community, and that she is very proud of them for all the good work that they do.
Rita taste tested John’s perfect pint, saying “Guinness is good for you!”
You know how the saying goes – “You can take the man out of Donegal…!”
