An overgrown hedge on a footpath in Donegal Town has been sending tourists on an unexpected journey out onto a busy road to avoid the obstacle.
The plants beside a footpath on the main route from Donegal Town to the Donegal Craft Village have had significant growth over the summer season and are posing a problem to pedestrians.
One local resident pointed out the dangers that this obstacle presents:
“I watched tourists trying desperately to stay off the road and trying to push a pram was impossible.
“The craft village is a great place for all visitors, unfortunately, we can’t even get a footpath to it.
“With all this advertising for the Wild Atlantic Way surely this has to be fixed.”
