Donegal is set to bask in glorious summer sunshine this weekend, with highs of 24 degrees predicted to grace Donegal just in time for the Joule Donegal International Rally!
Met Eireann say although this morning is cloudy, sunny spells are expected this afternoon with highs of 22 degrees.
“Today will be cloudy to start with patchy rain and drizzle. The cloud will break up through the afternoon to give sunny spells. Warm with highs of 19 to 22 degrees, though a degree or two cooler on western coasts in moderate southwest winds.
It’s even better news for Saturday, with another scorcher predicted.
“Tomorrow will again be quite cloudy to start but sunny spells will develop, best in the east of the province. Another warm day with highs of 20 to 24 degrees though a few degrees less on coasts in light to moderate southwest winds.
On Sunday it will be dry and warm in most places, with the Northwest expecting temperatures between 16 and 19 degrees, with light winds. Despite the warm weather, Met Eireann warn that mist and fog are likely.
Monday and Tuesday will be dry in most areas, however a few isolated showers are expected, with temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in the Northwest.
