A Donegal refuse collection company has resumed collection services today after its disposal facilities were ‘unavailable’ at the beginning of the week.
Customers of Ferry’s Refuse did not have their bins collected yesterday, Monday, when the company said it faced delays “due to circumstances currently beyond our control”.
Ferry’s updated their customers late last night to announce that emergency arrangements were made to collect bins today.
Hours earlier, the company had said there would be no collection on Tuesday and they were taking legal action to resolve the matter. The issue was due to come before the High Court on Wednesday, June 14th, the company said.
The situation then took a sudden turn and customers were told to leave out their bins this morning, with the assurance that they would be collected.
