Midsummer Light is the first summer event from the Returning Light series, which aims to raise funds for Aware.
Aware is a charity which aims to provide emotional and practical support to those affected by stress, depression, bipolar, and mood disorders. Established by Dr. Patrick McKeon in 1985, the charity also aims to tackle the stigma surrounding mental health.
Headlining the event will be Bundoran band Wolves of Youth, with Aurora, Soap Shaun Gallagher, The Kinky Wizards, and many more taking to the stage.
Organised by Ciara Martin and Daniel Breslin, the duo have previously raised over €1,000 for local mental health services during their previous Returning Light gig on December 22nd in St. Patrick’s Centre, featuring artists such as Little Hours, Ryan O’Shaunassy and Rosie Carney.
Speaking to Donegal Daily, organiser Ciara Martin says “We’ll be showcasing what the Donegal music scene has to offer while raising money for a very important cause.”
Door open at 7pm on the night and donations are accepted at the door.
