Donegal Gardaí have confirmed that two men have been released following a stabbing incident in Ballyshannon which left a man in hospital on Friday night.
The victim believed to be originally from the UK was attending the Rory Gallagher International Music Festival when he was attacked and taken to Sligo University Hospital where he was treated for stab wounds which were described as non-life threatening.
Two men were arrested in correlation to the incident however both were released without charge.
Gardaí say they are not appealing for further information.
The Gardaí confirmed that 17 people were arrested at the festival on suspicion of being in the possession of illegal substances. But added that other than these incidents the festival was mostly peaceful and without incident.
