Could Oasis reunite to perform at tonight’s Manchester benefit concert?

Oasis fans are hoping Liam and Noel will be able to bury the hatchet and reunite for tonight’s One Love concert in Manchester.

Rumours that the Manchester band will reunite to perform tonight were ignited when Black Eyed Peas’ Taboo tagged Oasis alongside confirmed acts in a Twitter post publicising the event.

The star-studded lineup for the concert includes; Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Take That, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, Robbie Williams and Little Mix.

However, Taboo may have just tagged them as ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ has become the unofficial anthem of Manchester following last week’s atrocity.

Liam performed his first ever solo gig on Tuesday night, with all proceeds going towards the victims of the Manchester bombing.

When asked about whether he’ll be joining the line-up for tonight’s benefit gig, Liam told BBC Radio One; “Mate, I don’t think so. I mean, I’m up for it but I think we’re booked for a gig somewhere.

“I think we’re playing in Germany, so we’re already booked, but I would have loved to have done it.”

However Liam left hopeful Oasis fans with a feeling of hopeful ambiguity at the mention of “unfinished business” when asked about the possibility of an Oasis reunion.

“If Oasis ever got back together… if they do, they do. If they don’t, they don’t. A lot of people go, ‘Oh, leave it in the past, you were great then.’ Mate, if we ever got back together, it would be happening. There’d be no dodgy gigs, it’d be bang on.

“So there is unfinished business there, but we’ll see what happens. In the meantime, we’re two little solo boys doing our little things innit.”

Until tomorrow evening, when we know for sure, Oasis fans will have their fingers crossed that the brothers can sort it out, ‘Little by Little’, and ‘Let there be Love’.

The concert will take place at Lancashire Cricket Club’s Old Trafford ground, with all proceeds going towards the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund set up by Manchester City Council and The Red Cross.
