After their successful concerts at Derry’s Playhouse and Mussenden Temple last weekend, the Donegal Chamber Orchestra are back home this evening for a recital at the Church of Ireland in Leitir, in the beautiful setting overlooking Gweebarra River.
Last year the event was described as one of the musical highlights of 2016, this year’s programme will include musicial pieces by Vivaldi, Haendel, Grieg, Toselli, Pachelbel, Bartók and more.
The Orchestra will be conducted by Spanish musician Victor Yélamo (Artistic Director of the Ensemble) and led/directed by Hungarian violinist Orsolya Szabó-Yélamo (Violin Resource Tutor with Donegal Music Education Partnership).
Soloists during the concert over the different pieces and styles will be violinists Jennifer Kilcoyne, Grace Harkin and Anna Curley and cellist Vyvyan Howard offering works from the Baroque period to the XX century.
The concert promises to provide another memorable musical evening with the Donegal Chamber Orchestra at the Church of Ireland in Leitir.
Anyone attending the event will have the opportunity to meet the musicians afterwards in Elliott’s Lounge were light refreshments will be served.
The show will begin at 8pm in The Church of Ireland, Lettermacaward.
