The pupils of Scoil Roisín in Dungloe recently had a sunny day at the seaside for their Relay for Life Donegal Schools Challenge, among other fun activities this May.
The teachers and students all went to Maghery Beach with their buckets and spades to build a giant sand castle for a creative take on the challenge.
The 1for1@1 Challenge, in association with Donegal Daily, saw students across the county donating one euro each as they did a fun challenge at 1pm this month. Every single euro raised for Relay for Life this year goes directly to the extensive research programme for cancer survivors presently ongoing at Letterkenny University Hospital. – Thank you Scoil Roisin!
Sports and Mindfulness
The pupils have had an active and exciting month, taking part in the Rosses School Sports Day in Carrickfinn (picture above are some winners from the day) and Mindfulness Workshops with Maire Rodgers Coyle. The school celebrated the final day of the weekly Mindfulness programme by releasing balloons into the sky with all their worries and cares.
