Donegal manager Rory Gallagher has allayed fears that Michael Murphy and Neil McGee could be in doubt for the Ulster semi-final against Tyrone.
Gallagher, who was at Celtic Park to see Tyrone dispose of Derry 0-22 to 0-11, checked in on the duo and has confirmed that both will be well on track to face the Red Hands on June 18 in a repeat of last year’s Ulster final.
Murphy had to be helped from the field in the 17th minute after going into a challenge with Gaoth Dobhair defender Jamie Reynolds.
“Cathal Ellis (Donegal physio) called to the house to see Michael and he just has bruising to the inside of the knee,” Gallagher said. “It is nothing serious and he’ll be back in training in a couple of days.”
Three minutes into the second half, McGee was replaced and was treated for a back injury, but Gallagher says that his withdrawal was ‘precautionary’.
