A once controversial Donegal oceanfront resort has been put on the market.
The Cuan na Rí oceanfront resort has been put up for sale with a guide price of €2.6m by agents Cushman & Wakefield.
The development boasts 27 holiday villas and overlooks Sheephaven Bay.
The property also has with an oceanfront bar, restaurant and function room, all of which are contained on a site that extends over 186 acres.
Neighbouring properties, meanwhile, include the renowned four-star Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort.
Cuan na Rí is located within a short distance of the tourist villages of Carrigart and Downings, and sits just 18km from Dunfanaghy and 30km from Letterkenny respectively.
The property is situated just off the N56, on the R245, in north-west Donegal and is within a three-hour drive of Dublin and Galway and a two-hour drive from Belfast.
The development’s 27 holiday villas are all in turn-key condition, fully fitted out and decorated to a very high standard, finished with Donegal Quartzite Stone.
Each villa benefits from a private deck/patio with a vaulted dining area.
The restaurant, bar and function room has been in operation since the summer of 2015. Serving fresh, locally sourced food, the restaurant caters for weddings, private parties and conferences.
The centre had been the setting for protests by local people back in 2014 who claimed their right of way to the local beach had been cut off by developers.
