The heatwave is officially here and Donegal is set to bake in up to 25 degrees of heat – for two days at least!
Today the coolest place on the planet takes on the mantle of hottest place in Ireland.
But those taking to the beaches of Dunfanagahy, Rossnowlagh, Portsalon, Fanad and Buncrana are being advised to lash on the suncream.
“Thursday will definitely be the best day of the week,” Met Éireann forecaster Klara Finkele said.
However, the bad news is that while temperatures will remain steady, cloud is set to roll back in tomorrow throughout the day.
But the good news is that today is set to be a scorcher and next week promises to bring back even more sun.
So if there’s a place in our wonderful county you haven’t been to (and you’re off work!), then jump in the car and soak it all up.
