Letterkenny University Hospital has the most overcrowded emergency department in the country this morning as 39 sick patients are waiting on beds.
The INMO today reveal that 19 patients are awaiting admission on trolleys while a further 20 are waiting in ward overflow areas.
Today’s figures represent a busy week at LUH. Twenty-three patients were reported waiting on a bed yesterday, Monday, as numbers have risen substantially in comparison to last week.
Across all emergency departments in the Republic today, there are 387 patients waiting on beds with 294 on trolleys and 93 in wards.
