Minister for Social Protection and contender for Finn Gael leadership Leo Varadkar will visit Donegal later this week.
The minister has planned to visit the Department of Social Protection offices in Letterkenny and Buncrana on Friday afternoon and to attend a Finn Gael party event in Gaoth Dobhair on Friday evening.
Varadkar plans to update party members on the government’s strategy on Brexit. The event is to take place in the Amharchlann in Gaoth Dobhair and has been organised by the Glenties district executives of the party.
On Saturday Varadkar will also meet with Donegal groups, which are yet to be confirmed.
As a member of the Cabinet sub-committee on Brexit, Varadkar has already held a series of meetings with his UK, French, German, Austrian, Danish and Estonian counterparts in recent months.
