Massive power outage affects 2,500 customers in Letterkenny area

A power outage occurred in the Letterkenny area tonight, affecting 2448 customers.

A fault occurred at 9:45pm, leaving homes in Letterkenny and the surrounding areas without power.

Although power has returned to some areas, the expected restore time for all areas is 1:30am.

A spokesperson for ESB says “We apologise for the loss of supply.”

“We are currently working to repair a fault… and will restore power as quickly as possible.”
