Donegal Under-17 Francie Friel was left to lament absent faces as his side was beaten by Tyrone in the Ulster Under-17 Competition.
Donegal went down 2-9 to 1-7 against the Red Hands at Healy Park with Friel missing some six of the nine minor panellists he has in his squad.
“We had six fellas away with the minors today and I think if you’re under-17, you should play with that group. It’s not fair on the rest of the lads,” Friel said.
“Championship is everything. This competition wasn’t given the full thing. You can see from Tyrone how big this was for them. It’s really annoying from our point of view.
“We had three lads out of the minors, but we didn’t have the other six. If we lost and had the nine lads you could say you were beaten by the better team.”
