Defending Donegal U21 Champions Gaoth Dobhair have been given a bye into the quarter-finals of the 2017 Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure Donegal U21 Championship.
The draws were conducted by the Donegal CCC at Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure, Letterkenny this evening.
Gaoth Dobhair defeated Aodh Ruadh in a pulsating U21 final last year and the Magheragallon men are now planning for a quarter-final. Gaoth Dobhair will meet the winners of the preliminary round tie between Kilcar and St Michael’s.
There is a tasty south-west derby between Naomh Columba and Ardara in the prelimunary round while last year’s beaten finalists, Aodh Ruadh – who have been making real strides in recent years again – taking on St Eunan’s, another side that will be fancying their chances in this competition.
Killybegs won the U21 B Championship last year and they will take on Naomh Conaill in the preliminary round.
The draws have also been made for the U21 ‘B’, U21 ‘C’ and U21 Hurling Championships.
