Lifford Celtic boss Lee White was thrilled as his side defeated derby foes Deele Harps in the promotion-relegation play-off today with the Greenbrae men moving back into Division One again.
Goals by Ross Porter and Jack Mahon secured a 2-1 win after Deele took the lead early in the game.
“it was always going to be the one goal that won it,” White said.
“Deele put it up to us. I’m just glad our boys got over the line. They deserve it after all the work they put in. We stuck with it right to the end and we trained over 80 times this year.”
