Lorcan O’Toole was delighted with his ‘ruthless’ Donegal minor hurlers last night as they reached the Ulster Minor Shield final.
Donegal had a whopping 37 points to spare on Monaghan in a one-sided 6-25 to 1-3 hammering.
Aaron Craig bagged a hat-trick with Jordan Barr, Dylan Duffy and Kieran Brady also raising green flags to send Donegal into a final meeting with Tyrone.
“We wanted no complacency,” O’Toole said.
“It could have been tricky. They were ruthless. That’s what we asked: To drive home the message that we’re a serious hurling team that wants to go places.
“It was a facile victory, but you can only beat what’s put in front of you. We asked them to be ruthless and they did that.”
